Frequently Asked Questions
  1. Do I need a piano mover? Well the answer is subjective. Does your piano mean anything to you? If not then any mover or strong young men will do. However if you have an expensive piano that you don't want damaged then it's recommended to hire a pro who is seasoned in preparing for all the unforeseen that will inevitably happen when moving a piano or storing a piano.
  2. How much does a piano weigh? Pianos range in size and thus so does the weight, but in general between 400 and 1300 pounds.
  3. How much does it cost to move a piano? The cost to move a piano will depend on these factors. Type of piano, distance of move, stairs or elevators, how many movers required, additional equipment like cranes. Most piano mover will bill either by flat rate or hourly. Most top piano movers will bill with flat rate.
  4. How much notice is required?  Well we book on a first come first serve basis so could be as easy as we'll see you tomorrow or if it's a peak moving time of the year then we could be booked for weeks.
